Halo Reach

This is a new video, but it doesn't show anything of value.  Still no idea what type of game this is; squad based, regular Halo FPS, ODST style psuedo stealth.  It would be a safe bet that it's not a kart racer though.  Why has the UNSC reverted to an older lift system with the V-22 Osprey style twin rotor, instead of the jet engines like Pelicans or even fans like the Hornet?  It's also hard to tell who are the Spartans and who are the ODSTs because of the non-standard armor.  And if these are Spartans with thick accents, I'm going to be dissapointed.  They were kidnapped around the age of 5 and any localized accent they had would have washed away and melted together in the years of training together.  I'm still looking forward to it, and did anyone play Halo Wars? That guy that said "Spartans never die" looked a whole lot like Forge.

New Direction

C4 gaming will be changing up starting in 2010.  A party of 4 or more will need to reserve a gaming day with a few days notice, otherwise it will be closed.  The reserving party will not make it exclusive, unless arrangements are made, so an individual may come if C4 is already open because someone else has reserved enough seats.  The pricing, hours, and pwning will all be the same.  This change is because C4 will begin hosting more remote events.  You will be seeing flyers and ads in stores around the area inviting players to different venues to compete in tournaments and to just get together for LANs.  The plan is to grow the events and hopefully the C4 base making it a regular thing that gamers can count on and visit regularly.  Check out the forums for more details and to discuss what you would like, this place is all due to you guys (and like 1 girl), so help steer this in the direction you want.

Dragon Age

Today is the day of Dragon Age: Origins.  The TV spots are pretty neat but onfortunately are following the bad trend of not showing any game play.  Halo has reached the point where its not neccesary, they just run spots to get the fan base fired up and talking and also to make it look interesting enough for non Halo people to ask about it.  But the best show on network TV has finally been discovered and is being utilized properly, Big Bang Theory.  If you haven't seen that show yet, you are a masochist and just hate yourself.  But back to the point, they are very effectively targeting the audience in commercials with video game ads, and for the people that haven't already pre-ordered games may need to see just a few features or game footage to tip them over the edge to go ahead and buy it.  At least there is something to do with the game and not just people talking about odd situations that never happen, nor are they even plausible.

Just a little last minute update. C4 Gaming will be closing at sunset (7:30) and everyone will get an all day pass for only $8 due to the shortened schedule. Have fun tomorrow and don't eat candy from Marco.
